Monday I had my second group meeting on friendship. The
class was extremely talkative. The subject was about comments made by other
fourth graders about a wide variety of topics including what to do if someone
in the group smells or how to handle someone who always tries to take over.
Each student was given a turn in how they would handle a particular situation.
After this activity the group were given individual bags of M&M’s and had
to answer questions which had been assigned to certain colors. For example one
color’s question may be about the number of siblings one has, or if given a
choice where in the world they may go. The students had a great time and are
all learning a lot about each other as well as how to make friends.
